completing her associates degree in Veterinary Technology,
Alissa joined our full-time staff in March of 2008 as a
certified technician. Prior to finding her calling in the
small animal field, she worked with farm animals at Utah's
Thanksgiving Point and laboratory animals at Brigham Young
University. Alissa spends her spare time volunteering with
local organizations in an effort to place loving cats and
dogs with equally loving families. In fact, in her
volunteer work she has fostered, rehabilitated, and adopted
one of those special kitties whom she and her husband now
spoil along with their other felines, hamsters, and puppy.

Nikki Dale is originally
from West Weber Utah, where living in the country, she has
always been around animals. She has always wanted to work
with small animals and during her senior year of high school
started attending the Utah Career College for Veterinary
Technology, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree
in July of 2010. Nikki joined our staff in March of 2011
after recently moving to the Midvale area from West Weber.

Brittany Malouf is one of
the newest members of our staff. After moving up to Salt
Lake County, she joined our team in July 2011. Brittany
graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from
Brigham Young University, but she has been working with
animals for as long as she can remember. In fact, her first
job was at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Georgia where
she was raised.
Upon graduating, Brittany
had plans to move back to Georgia to attend veterinary
school. She decided to stay in Utah for one last summer to
enjoy the camping, fishing and hiking in the mountains, when
she met a devastatingly handsome boy who persuaded her to
stay. They are now married, and are the happy parents of a
fat spoiled cat named Ruthie.

Kathy Turnbow has spent many years as a client at Sandy
Animal Clinic and as of December 2010 became a member of our
great staff. As a kennel tech she is our background support
and loves getting to know each pet and their owners.
Kathy has two yorkies, Bella and Lily, and recently said a
tearful goodbye to her beautiful 13 year old retriever,
Sugar. As such she has first hand knowledge of the
importance of continued relationship with Dr. Edmonds and
his staff, from the early years of a pets life throughout
those to soon to come years of age related special care that
helped keep Sugar comfortable and happy through the last few
years of her life.
She is a delighted fan of her grown children, baseball, Ute
Football and any trail she can find throughout our famous
Wasatch mountains. And of coarse of a record snowfall!
"It isn't that one wants to live for the sake of a dog,
exactly, but that dogs show you why you might want to."
Mark Doty, author and poet.
